Miniature Tigers Long Beach Concert reviews
Friggin Incredible!!
"Having Bilal and the DJ do their stuff was a great bonus. No disrespect to Kanye West, but I rather have Common and Lupe Fiasco as the hip-hop spokespeople representing the Chi. I wanted to get live with his music, but the space was cramped, limited, and I had two other guys surrounding me. However, she took away my doubts, very impressive she was. Every acts' band was incredible and the woman who sang backup to Maxwell born in Blue Island, she was stunning. Sitting right near the main stage, I was a little worried how the music would sound when Crisette first started singing.
Then Miniature Tigers, he is the predecessor to Marvin Gaye if no one else has called him that, I will. Was hoping he could have included "Stop The World" with the rest of the songs. Then Common, in the beginning it seemed like he had to build up some momentum to get the crowd going. Then he never let it go. I think one started to have like a seizure after he hugged her. I went deaf a number of times cause someone screamed in my ear so many times. I'm about to go out and get some singing lessons cause of him haha.
I had an amazing time!! Whenever they come back in town, together or solo...they will have my support. Overall, I thank them for putting on such a great performance. I like how humble each performer seemed to be. Watching Common up there made me proud to be a Chicagoan. Want to also add, I am so jealous of that guy with how all the women was going crazy. The woman who sang backup to Maxwell born in Blue Island, she was stunning, though get your Granma out of Harvey if you're making good money now with Maxwell lol. The first being Stevie Wonder at the Taste of Chicago a few years ago."
